A place where your young child can learn to read.
RESET’s Kindergarten Literacy Prep is focused on teaching preschoolers (children between the ages of 3 and 5) the fundamental skills required to be readers.
The focused reading program is offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (excluding statutory holidays).
The goal of the program is to encourage children to read simple sentences from classic storybooks. This allows children to find success and ultimately joy and confidence in reading.
During the April to June Term, students will focus on Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin Jr. and Eric Carle. They will develop a strong understanding of the alphabet, phonics, vocabulary, build active listening and comprehension.

- Phonics Focus: Build a strong foundation in letter sounds, blending, and segmenting.
- Alphabet Mastery: Children will recognize and name all 26 letters.
- Sight Words & Vocabulary: Preschoolers will learn a growing list of sight words and thematic vocabulary.
- Confidence in Reading: By the end of the program, children will feel confident and attempt to read simple sentences and enjoy sharing Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? with fluency and joy.
